A talented guitarist who plays in a style similar to George Benson's in the 1970s, Norman Brown has recorded several best-selling sets for the MoJazz label. He started playing guitar when he was eight and was already gigging while in high school. Signed to MoJazz in 1990, Brown has become a popular attraction, performing R&B-ish jazz, but has yet to develop his own sound. - Scott Yanow
