Although purists and collectors will find this sampler incomplete and inconsequential, it nevertheless gives new listeners a good idea of Coltrane's music during the '60s, featuring such classics as "Naima," "A Love Supreme (Part 1: Acknowledgement)," "Bessie's Blues" and "Crescent." — Leo Stanley
